How do you like it....I am planning a trip to Alaska and I am thinking about a new GPS. I have an old Garmin which I keep in the saddle bag and pull it out when I need it. Hand held would seem to fit me better, I am not into driving and messing with a GPS at the same time. Do the batteries hold up OK? Is the reception as good as the mounted models? Thanks for any info.

I got it for Geocaching and hunting, It is easy to use and now at a great price. I also got a GPSMap 62S. when geocaching in Minnesota this winter I liked the 62S better for the longer battery life. touch screen is slow in the extreme cold (around zero) and so are the fingers, that may be the cause. I use Eveready rechargeable batts. for the price you can't go wrong. T.P.
