I went ahead and added some more bracing to my welding table today per RJ's recommendation..... cooldude.....I sat it on a level surface and made sure the legs were square to the ground before welding the braces to the frame....

I just have to sand and grind any sharp edges to prep it for some black paint......I wonder if I should prime it first with some spray on primer?.... Undecided.....I will most likely keep the table where it'll be dry.....although not inside any of my buildings...

I also bought me a new angle grinder and some metal cut-off wheels to cut the top with...got it cut down without much trouble.....I also added a couple of beads of metal in the low spots on the top cross braces so that the table would be better supported overall......

I just laid the top on the frame to take this pic and will wait until after I've prepped the frame with paint before welding the top to the frame.....I laid on top of the table and it was rock solid....nary a bend or bow.....I think it'd hold up to doing the "Wild Thang" on!!...... cooldude cooldude Cheesy Grin

PRIME IT ya, Steamer Boy.   You know better than to ask that question.

Paint always sticks better to primer.

Before ya prime it, make sure ya wipe all the areas down with some good solvent that will eliminate any oil or hand prints on it.

Now back to our normaal programming, NCAA basketball.

That sounds like TOO much work ya Old Fart...I always hate the "finishing" stage of any project...I could just let it be "Rust-au-naturale"..... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
