I was able to get out for a short 60 mile ride today. The Valkyrie started pretty easy for it being her first time in 2011. I may have a leaking valve seal or something because it did blow some smoke out the pipes before it fully warmed up.

Next thing I know I'm riding down my street feeling great. The bike ran fine and I was so comfortable. Man I missed riding that old girl. I may not actually own this bike, I think she may own a bit of me.

All the best,

Mark

goldwings young and even more so with old ones do smoke a bit after sitting on kickstand for a lengthy while   ~valks included~ I personally think they smoke due to the oil sitting on one side of the engine.. I bet it quit after a short bit...........?

Due to some health issues, my doctor won't let me ride for a couple more weeks  Undecided but being the good patient that I am I'm going to give it a try next Saturday   Roll Eyes .... just don't tell the doctor or my daughter.

Looks to be lots of Valks around here. We should meet up for a breakfast, back yard BBQ or something. And yes, my Valk quite smoking after a few minutes. I typically use a Condor front wheel chock in the garage. Thought by keeping it more upright I could reduce the smoke on start up. But no, she does it if left for a few days or so.
