I have a tourist question ..... would I benefit if I swapped out my stock shocks on my std to using the shocks off of an Interstate with low mileage .... and  are the I/S shocks a more heavier duty ? because I have about 62,000 on my 98 standard  with the original  oem's and I'm thinking their wore out .... or should I just order a pair of 440's  13 incher's instead and be done with it , because I tow a trailer and ride two up ...... Thanks Old Geezer Richard

Yes the interstate shocks are heavier duty.  I ran the standard shocks on my tourer on
the highest setting and they would bottom out once in a while.  I now have interstate
shocks on and they are set on the lowest setting and have never bottomed out yet.

I was told by the factory people at a Homecoming in Marrysville Ohio that the Interstate shocks are heavier duty. I also do not bottom out, two up and luggage on any setting on my Std with the Int shocks...
