The last post I saw was that he had pneumonia. Any thing since then?

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, has been a long week. There have no change. The pneumonia is in the lower right lung and he is being treated for it. Tomorrow will possibly be a hard day for Thelma and their son Zach if the Dr's decide they need to talk like was mentioned earlier this week. Please continue to pray for complete healing and strength for Thelma and Zach.

That's just so sad  Sad  Is a machine keeping him alive now ? When Brian and I was on a ride in The Great Smoky Mountains we talked about many things like what happened to Steve ( Old Skool ) and the heartache you and Noah was facing without him we also talked about  how we looked at quality of life " just in case " more from a motorcycle accident stand point however I think it also apply's here....I probably should have kept this to myself but it's been on my mind since this happened to Brian....Best wishes for Brian and his family they are in my thoughts and prayers.

Things like this do make one ponder one's mortality  Undecided   I hope to see Brian's getting better soon.

I wish everyone one well.

Basically the same thing happened to my father.  Brings back lots of memories.  It is a tough time.

God Bless all in the family, and special blessings and prayers for Brian.

Brian is breathing on his own but is on a vent to assist him. When I go to see him I hold his hand and talk to him. This was encouraged by the nurses. He's no longer on a cooling blanket but they do have a fan blowing on him to keep his temp from going back up.
Brian and I have had several talks about what if. He's never gotten over Steve's death as none of us have. The other night Thelma and I talked and she's got a peace no matter what. Doesn't make it any easier. I don't know which is easier, with Steve it happen so fast we  had no time to prepare where as Thelma does in case it does come to that.
Going in later today and will update this evening.

Prayers & thoughts still coming as needed for everyone from Iowa.

Brian can beat the pee-moan-ya, I've beat it 3 times so far this year.

Thanks for the update Rhonda.   Give Noah a big hug for all of us, also, somehow if you can, give yourself a big ole hug from us VRCC'ers..   You deserve one.

Continued prayers for Brian and his family. How well I know what is happening now.   It sounds like some really hard decisions might have to be made.  I had to make them concerning my wife 9 years ago and it still haunts me.

I met Brian at Inzane in Johnson City and was struck by how much he cared about Rhonda and Noah after Steve's passing.

Again, continued prayers.

Continued prayers from Indiana. He is a quality man and I hope the very best for him, whatever that means. It is very hard, but sometimes we just have to wait and see what God's plans are. I pray for a positive outcome and strength and peace for his family and loved ones.

Just got home from the hospital, First day in awhile I haven't cried. Brian has some swelling from all the fluids being pumped in him and his output is slow. We were all encourage when he tried to squeeze my hand. They know what kind of pneumonia he has so they are tackling that. They are also going to increase his blood pressure medicine and Thelma said sometime this week they are going to put a trac in so they can get some of the tubing out of throat . As of now he is breathing on his own but is on a vent to help him if need be.Right now it's hour to hour but if it gets to where he is not functioning on his own Thelma is at peace with what happen.

It's hard to see him like this but I believe he is in God's hands. Brian and Thelma are more family to me and Noah than my own family. We don't know what we would have done without them when Steve passed away. We have been there for Thelma and Zach with whatever they need. She said to tell everyone thank you and to continue praying. She spoke to the paramedics who brought Brian in and they said they were afraid they were going to lose him on the way to the hospital so to have him still here 6 days out is already a miracle.

Prayers from Sedalia, Missouri. It's been a while since I have seen Brian, he was with Steve and I believe it was in Johnson City. I don't have my Valkyrie any more but still visit the board to keep up with what's going on. I lost my best friend many years ago and still think about him to this day.He was struck by a car while riding is bicycle shortly before his 16th birthday.Hopefully it's not Brian's time and he will pull through this to see better days.

Have been at the hospital all day and just got home. The Drs met with Thelma and have explained to her that there is nothing they can do to heal Brian's body. They told her this is as good as it's gonna get. The stroke was just too massive. She is meeting with Drs again tomorrow with the whole family and she wanted Brian's primary Dr there also. Brian and Thelma have had many discussions on "What If" especially after we lost Steve. His breathing is still o'k and there is no organ failure but Drs said it will happen. He is also on a feeding tube so that will be another deciding factor, do you take him off it?
I've been blessed to know Brian 13 years and feel I'm a better person for it. Noah adore's him and says being with Brian is like being with his Dad. Brian was the first person Noah asked for when Steve died and Brian has never hesitated being there for Noah or me. I don't know that I would be where I am today without them. I will update tomorrow after the meeting but please continue to pray for peace, strength and comfort for the family.

This is breaking my heart.....my Dad never recovered from a stroke back in Sept. of 2004....he wasn't responsive at all and appeared to be in pain at times......Brian seems to have been able to respond somewhat and we are all hoping for the best.....Sending love and prayers for all of you guys....

Prayer is powerful, but Gods will be done. I will hold firmly to Brian's total healing, from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. But if God calls him home from this world, I have to admit he is far better off than he would be here in his condition. My heart goes out to Thelma whom I have never met, Brian's family, Rhonda and Noah.
Keep believing,

Thanks for all the prayers . I spent the evening with Noah. My heart is breaking for him, too lose the 2 most important men in your life by the time you are  17 is not fair. I just sat and held him and let him cry then we went for a long drive.

In a perfect world, bad things wouldn't happen to good people.  It never seems right.

So sorry to hear about this and I send out good thoughts for the family and loved ones.  Noah has had an especially hard road so early in life, but it will ultimately make him the strong, compassionate man he will become.
