Hi looking at a set of forward controls moves your feet forward  wondering does anyone have them and how do they work    looks like it turns the shifter into like a heal and toe shifter --how does it work on the brake --thanks

I'm not sure how forward controls work on a trike, but I have floorboards from XF6 (sponser on this site) www.xf6-custom.com that give a new foot position while riding. Go on Daryls site and take a look.

I also did ad a heel/toe shifter from "Rattlebars" but I'm not sure that's what you want. I'm not sure if they are still available.

I live in Palatine so I'm not too far from you. If you want to see my set up get a hold of me.

The only place I know to get forward controls  is bigbikethings.com...

They have two kinds, I have the kind that is not supposed to be appropriate for an
Interstate (levers probably whack the pods or something)...

Anywho, mine work such that the regular controls work and feel exactly as they did before, and now
there's a forward set of controls that I can reach from the highway pegs...

I would hate to be without them, use them all the time, and have heard a trike rider say
the same thing about them (don't know which kind the trike guy had)...

That was probably me.  I have a modified set from BigBikeThings.  I owe BadOn3, so if he wants photos, I could take some and email them to him.

To answer his questions, the shifter is a heel/toe, similar to the rattlebars unit but located foreward.  It might be an awkward position on a 2 wheel, but it is great on a trike.  The brake is nothing more than an extension of the stock brake that moves it forward.  Since you are lengthening the lever, you have to push it down further to brake.  As designed, the brake lever bolts to the OEM lever but on my trike I did away with the mid-bike foot pegs and made the brake lever a one piece unit and re-made the shifter to fit my foot better (I ride with my toes turned out).
