I have on order a Talon Alarm for my 99 Interstate. The Alarm is about the same size of the Scorpion. I have used these alarms before on my other bikes and they work great, but my question is has anyone ever installed an alarm of this size or any size on the Interstate and if so where did you put it. They must be level and with the Radio under the seat there is not enough room for it.  I am trying to avoid putting it in the Top Case but that might be the only option.

dON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT ALARM!
bUT THE    "fIND IT NOW "    SYSTEM IS AWESOME!!!
Works where "Lo Jack" doesn't work and you can track your bike from your Computer or cell phone yourself and it sends you a signal the second the bike is touched, etc plus comes with towing etc for one set price , no monthly fees!

Thanks for the info, checked around in Canada and there is no LoJack dealer even close to me. Hay, what can I say, I like living in the sticks.

All I want to do is install a standard alarm that will chase people away from the Bike and or notify me that someone is playing around with it. I have had my Truck stolen before and if its anything like a Bike, I don't want to ever see it again, after it leaves my sight.  The problem as I mentioned is where to put the dam thing, Honda has seem to used just about every corner, that is out of sight on this Bike.

There is plenty of room in the fairing.  I have a 7"x9" amplifier mounted in mine.

Steve K,

Now that's a serious Amp to be hiding, and I thought I had a problem. Once I figure out how to get the Fairing off, I will see if I can come up with a position for the Alarm.

Great tip.

Thanks for the info.

Pete the Greek;

By the way, I guess we should have been buying Lojack Stocks  instead of playing around with alarms, closed on 6-Mar-09 $2.67 and today for $5.02. I guess that is what they call a 2 Banger, 1 Dollar in 2 Dollars out.

I took the center cover out and mounted the alarm "box" on the front of the battery box.... it was handy for wiring and like you I couldn't find a better place to mount it.

I have since taken it out, when I tore the bike apart to have it painted, but plan to put it back in there soon.

NiteRiderF6

Thanks for the hint, I have already been in the area in front of the Battery Box, and it now houses a couple of jacks for my heated jacket liners. It's getting a bit crowed in there as well.

Hay, I  live in the great white North, so cold doesn't stop me so I needed somewhere for those jacks. I just might be able to make room in there for the alarm, I will see what I can do.

Nice looking paint job.
