I have written before of my failed drive line yoke (U-joint) It failed June of last year. The part was back-ordered. By the way this is the same Yoke as used on the 1500 Goldwing. The estimated ship date was Feb of 2011, this slipped to March 31 and is now re-estimated as no sooner than April 15th.
I am not a happy camper. But am thankful for TP, that gave me a loaner.

Did someone mention that a Honda car u-joint could be modified to work?  I would like to know more about that.

I'm currently running a Spicer 430-9A u-joint that was installed into the OEM yoke.  A driveline service shop did the work.  The new u-joint caps had to be tack welded to the yoke as there is not much material on the yoke to allow machining for retaining clips.  (Someone else on this board was checking into machining for clips).  Anyhow, I have about 2,500 miles on this so far with no problems.

I'm not saying that this is the answer to all the u-joint problems, but It has been working for me and I can ride this way until new ones become available.
