A while back I learned thru different posts, that my supervalk wasn't a supervalk at all, because the trunk can not be put back on....so I thought, what is it then....it has a cut down, blacked out windshield, tourer fender rails so that a backrest can be added when I want it..along with a luggage rack also the hinges were changed on the bag lids so that they open like a tourer, now you can get into the bag without getting off the bike  cooldude...the cb is under the seat and of course a rear tail light and modified exhaust....solo seat w/saddle rail....

So I've decided to call it a Valkyrie Maverick...for those that don't know what Maverick is...it's a cow or steer that doesn't run with the herd....it's different...it does not fit into any specific style....that's where my Valks figure in, they look like a Supervalk, but their not....they are off by themselves, as far as names go....

So this winter I built another one, the 1st one is a solid black 2001 ex-Interstate, the one I built this pass winter is a red and black 2000 ex-Interstate....a work still in progress....

Both of these bikes have over 100,000 miles on them and both have been reconditioned to go another 100+

They both look great, and I have considered doing that to an IS as well for a solo set up.

I am curious about that seat tho.... what is that seat?

yeah, i'd like to know more about that seat also.  as for it being a "super valk" aren't they all??  i'd like to also know more about that CB antenna, what did you do to intigrate the regular radio with it?
i've wanted to go "super" for a while, all i need now is the seat.

Alph...to intigrate the 2 antenna's all you need is a splitter, puts both cb and radio on one antenna...the one with the peanut on it...works great.

Mine started life as a '97 Standard...

Added a few 'odds n ends', and came up with my 'Tour State'  Wink ...  Ready for anything from Bellaire MI to Frisco CO...

Drop the Trunk (takes all of 5 minutes) and then I'm ready for cruizn the twisties near my house in SE Wisconsin...

Then, on Two Wheel Tuesdays, at the local Culvers, I hook up with Loth, Daryl, Jim C, Jack, and a few other Valkers...  Here Piggy, Piggy...  Grin

I agree with Alph...  They're all 'Super' Valks  cooldude

Super Valk, Valkyrie Maverick, State, I/State, Std/State. Tourer/State.

No one really cares what ya call them, as they are your dream, idea, creation and etc.

They are all Valkyrie's.......   That is the best part.

All your bikes look good folkes.   My Tourer has been a full tourer, a solo, and now back to a full tourer.    Lot of it depends if someone is riding bitch with ya.

When mine was solo, I and my son were the only 2 to ride it.  Red quit riding about 30 years ago, and the son was not attached then.

Now he has a lady friend, and she loves to ride, so MGM is back to full dress.   They ride the chopper for bar hopping and posing.   Go on a good day long trip or a weekend, MGM gets the call.

Highbinder (Don), I'm the one who got called for referring to my permanently chopped IS as a supervalk.

Maverick is good..... but I will keep calling it a supervalk, just to irritate people.  Grin  angel

Nice bike BTW.

Spirited-6 (Don) The way I understood it, if you can't convert back to a full I/S with the quick disconnect trunk, it is not a supervalk...in my case, having changed the fender rails to standards or tourers makes it a permanent convertion and no longer classified as a supervalk... Grin So what ya got?

Who is the person that motivated you to do so much work on your bikes... working around
that beautiful mountian top ranch is a full time job. How do you find the time? I can't even
get an e-mail from you but once every 6 months... While I am at it your e-mail service won't
allow me to send you a picture of the rumble seat setup I made for my solo-rider I/S

It's been a while, but I believe they are the 'Magnum Plus' version...  Wanted the extra 2" wider...

The sissy bar is a stock backrest from a standard or tourer with the pad removed and a chrome plate installed, you have to replace the fender rails on a I/S with standard or tourer rails to except the backrest.....the I/S rails will not except the backrest....on the black and red bike I cut a metal plate out to fit and painted it black...you can still find the chrome ones around....by doing this mod you can also add a luggage rack if you want.
