switch from Directline parts (BIG-52605) that mounts on the brake res. That in turn, operates a relay. I wanted the switch close at hand, as I am running a modded trigger wheel with 7 degrees of advance. Unless I am cruising at a steady speed, I run curve 7 with the wire grounded and 10 degrees of retard (but that equals out to only 3 degrees off of the number 7 curve. Then when I am on the open road, I cut out the ground and add the 10 degrees back to the curve for gas mileage. I just got home from work this morning and averaged 34 mpg for my 142 mile round trip commute. It consists of 120 miles of x-way with city and town driving on each end. I run between 75 and 80, with a shot of 85 or so now and then. The bike is a 97 standard with 50,000 miles, Goodyear TT 205X60X16 rear @ 36psi, Avon Cobra front @43 psi, cut piggies, K&N filter, IS springs, a National Cycle windshield and light bar, Baker air wings, hand deflectors, home made foot deflectors (all this adds up to a lot of wind resistance), and Leatherlyke bags. I weigh 250 with coat and helmet. When the bike ignition was stock running that fast, I would get around 26 to 27 mpg
