I just De-Smogged my 2000 interstate with 68K. Also new intake o-rings, Most of the the vacuum lines and that is what I have a question about. I purchased just about all the supplies from redeye. I ordered the Pingel petcock vac line. Should of I ordered the Valkyrie Pair Valve Vacuum Line? The Pingel instructions tells me to install the vac line directly from #6 the gas valve. I think I need to keep the pair valve vac line set up, Is that correct? Oh It runs great just the way it is. I took it for a ride in the 45 deg Wisconsin evening. Hope I remembered everything and if not I will give more info. Thank you all in advance. Doug

If you did the desmog, you need to cap (plug)  the number 2 and 5 ports that the pair valves were connected to.  If your Pingel is a vacuum model, you will need to connect it back up to the number 6 port.  If it is a manual valve, that port needs to be plugged also.  And don't forget to plug the nipple on the bottom of the airbox that the control valve was connected to.

For a nice Clean look on the air box I ran a 5/16"-18 Tap into the port and then Installed a bolt with sealant on the threads. Quick and easy!!!

You need those ports (barbs) accessible for a synchronization.

Im confused..........you shouldnt need vacuum lines after a desmog, thats the whole point.  If you bought a vacuum Pingel, then, sure youd have to have that line, but why order it?  You can get a couple feet of vacuum line 5/32" ID for a dollar or so at your local parts house
