Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: April 05, 2011, 06:04:48 PM »

I'll start out with thanking some folks...Allen ( Punisher ) for putting up our group on thursday and sunday night in the big house in the south just outside of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Mark and Charlyne for the great food and the invite to the great state of Texas. I did this ride 2 years ago and noticed it then as well ( Mark and Charlyne never stop working the entire weekend ).Another shout out to Wizard for the great ride we took Saturday along the Intercoastal Waterway and the Gulf Of Mexico. Also to the folks that rode down with me Mike ( hupcap ) Paul ( Wimp ) Mac ( Crazyhorse ) Allan ( Punisher ) . Another LARGE thank you to the Lord for keeping us safe and letting me do this entire ride with my rain gear in my saddlebag  cooldude We pretty much was in a run all day Monday with nasty severe weather right on our tail.I pulled into my garage and within minutes was hit with strong winds side-way pourin' rain and lightning.

We took the ferry on the way down from Port Bolivar to Galveston Island...Cool ride with dolphins jumpin' around the big ass boat the entire ride across the water.

Few pictures from the ride saturday down by Oyster Creek, Big Boggy N.W.R. Jamaica Beach and Sargent, Texas. These Texas folk's don't mess around when it's time to take a break.

Took this picture down near Sargent,Texas that from what I can tell is between The Intercoastal Waterway and The Gulf Of Mexico.

After the ride we headed back toward Friendswood and to eat some awesome BBQ.

Last picture  " The Money Shot " taken on the sea wall at Galveston.

Glad to hear ya'll made it back safely.   Connie asked me if I knew whether you outran the storms or not.  Staying dry is a good thing.   It was great to see the Tennesseans again  Wink
