I guess its fortunate that she was dicking around with a video camera instead of a cell phone while following a trailer she couldn't see around.

One second for every ten miles per hour. That was what they taught in Trucking school and how far yur dinosaur should be behind the other dinosaur. The morning guy here was saying two seconds behind is good. Thats justy not enough time to safely react.
Its not NASCAR and most folks cant drive that good anyway.

If that board had bounced one foot to the left, she would only have time to have said "AWW " and not finish the thought.

I would have probably tried to swerve/dive to the right and caught it right in the chest.  She is lucky she didn't react.

They had these people on the Today show this morning.

Things can surprise you when you have less than a one second following distance.  I hope she makes an adjustment, but I'll bet she thinks what happened was simply luck and continues to follow just as closely.

Four seconds to see and react sound right? Seems like I picked that up from the Gold Wingers.
