It is with a very heavy heart right now that I post this information. Many of you may remember several weeks ago when I requested prayer for a young man battling cancer that is a friend of my youngest son. This young man was a very special person and gave it his all, but unfortunately he passed away today. He was 19 years old...way too young! He was a very strong and talented young man. His faith was unwaivering even until the end. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Please pray for his family, as he leaves behind 2 loving parents, a younger sister and older brother as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and ALOT of friends! He has touched many lives and he will definitely be missed! Brandon with his family approximately a year ago. Brandon performing at the Leukemia and Lymphoma society benefit Brandon performing with the KC Jazz at the benefit Brandon and Kenny G a couple months ago Brandon visited Randolph Air Force Base just a couple of weeks ago and this photo was taken then. Brandon Steffen...you will be missed! May you rest in peace!

Prayers being lifted for Branden and his family in their time of grief. It appears he led a good life for his short 19 years. Guess they needed him in Heaven more than we did down here.

Here is a post from Brandon's parents. My heart is just so heavy for them.
Our boy received his wings today - a most deserving reward for such a hard fought battle. Brandon was courageous, stoic, faithful, and compassionate. When the one who suffers also teaches, there's something special in that. Brandon had the kindest spirit that will live with us all until we too pass. The pain is immense right now, but we know he suffers no more, and that God has invited him in with open arms. Surely God loves Jazz just as much, but if not, we're certain Brandon will show him the ropes! "Enjoy what has to be the most wonderful place of all, Brandon. We love you more than you will ever know. God bless you."
We appreciate and love you all. Thank you so much for following us on this journey.
