The old girl was a bit more hammered than I wanted to admit.  Embarrassed  I started smoothing out the bumps and bruises about 3 weeks befor GOTF.  I had already installed new/used/abused and altered body work 3 days before INZANE'09

followed up with a perfect flat black spray paint finish that won the prestigious "Most Beautifully challenged Valkyrie" award.

Soon after I added an I/S fairing to my tourer

But now was time to iron out some wrinkles,Just the MAJOR ones !

I ran out of time and the work was extensive...Damn pinstripes all had to be removed!  Cheesy So I settled on another "rattle can" spray paint job and headed for Friendswood TX

Not even CLOSE to perfect (it is just spray paint in a can) but I feel good about what I was left with 3 yrs ago  Smiley

Nothing wrong with a rattle can spray job if ya take your time.

Ted Abbott, worked his bike over several years ago and we nicknamed it Honda Davidson.

He had Harley saddlebags, rear trunk, fairing if memery serves me correctly, and of course, I can't find my picture of it in my photo stashs.    Maybe Ted will see this and add a pic.    It was all rattle can and looked very good.

Lost track of the bike after he sold it.   Didn't realize he was serious back when he said he was selling it or I'd of bought it.   Hind sites sure suck sometimes.

Not a deer Joe, a Buick. 4 years ago Feb, RoadKill was giving a friend a short ride after he and I had been working on bikes and preparing for some trip or other. They topped the hill about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from the house (was after dark on a 2 lane road) doing about 65 mph and there was a Buick stopped in their lane.

I heard the impact as I was standing in front of the garage. I jumped on my bike and road to the scene to find out what I hoped hadn't happened. Both were in pretty bad shape and I got the ambulance and two helicopters en-route right away and flew one to the level 1 trauma center in Kansas city and the other to a level 2 trauma center in Topeka.

It was pretty amazing how well the Valk took the impact, and stunning that they both survived.

Dale could tell you better than I how many bones he broke, but there were several in his skull, ribs and spinous processes. Both had some serious internal injuries.

Yep,that is the same old rag...She is the only Valk I've ever owned,my 1 and only,'till death do us part.

And Gunslinger summed it up pretty well about the accident. He only played down his role as first responder ALOT !

body work is pretty straight and I'm going to RE-do the fairing and add more silver inlay on tank, bags, side covers etc....  Maybe will have REAL paint on her next spring  cooldude

And still to this day (owned her since 2000) I have NEVER washed my Valk.
I leave her in the rain sometimes and Brian used to wash her for me once in awhile before he got 3 of his own to wash. I hear that Dan Meyer would be proud Wink , He likes a dirty girl apparently  2funny
