Wow! Great deal for someone. Might need a little TLC to get it right.

I paid that for my 98 Valk in 01, but I got $500 Honda bucks credit for chrome gizmos that I used for a Tourer windshield and leather bags. Seems like a long time ago. But it's only been 88K miles.

......Freehold is a cool little money town, that has ALOT of summer activities going on. Custom Car night....a HUGE Bike Night.....and some kick ass restaurants, that serve a respectable cheeseburger and REAL....GOOD...Pizza...Johnnie and I used to ride there alot....I miss it..

....Far as Freehold Honda....been there a few times...bought some goodies for my State.....they "seem"....to be decent folks...

Here is a pic of it... This bike is a blank canvas to express ones self upon...

Enjoy.... PS No affiliation, just figured someone may need a bike.... or want one.... or just want to jump on a deal...

If it wasn't so near April 15th, I'd go and get it.... but Obama has other plans for my pennies...

My opinion, and it will be worth what you paid for it, is that a Standard for $9500 is not a deal.  That bike has been sitting for a long, long time, with or without gasoline in the tank and carbs.  Either way you have a problem.  The bike has been sitting in one place on the rubber.

Low miles.  If you're considering what useful life is left in a Valkyrie I would say you really can't tell an appreciable difference between 0 miles and 20 thousand.

It's not scratched.  That's a positive.

I wouldn't touch it or advise anyone else to at that price.   Roll Eyes

Yeah, I'm sure you would have to run the goats out of it.... but there aren't many around with no miles on them.

I wouldn't ride it without new tires and I'm sure a few other seals (shifter, forks, etc) would need to be changed out. I'd make them service the carbs and get it running right before I took it out of there.

I'm sure if you went in there with about $7,000 in greenbacks, you could ride out of there on it. I'm sure they bought it for a lot less than they are asking for it, so they have some room to negotiate. I wouldn't be scared of it.... it's still a Valkyrie. YMMV

And just in the interest of hijacking the thread and tossing a match into the fumes:

In addition to all the other negatives, as a 2003 it is one of those plain jane black bikes.

You could pay more and get less, for example:  2003 Std at Shawnee Honda (Ok)

$9999 with 4700 miles.  I looked it over Saturday and it was in sad shape for a bike with very few miles.  The paint finish looked hazy, and it had some corrosion on quite a few parts.  And a bit of rust to go along with it....

I agree with Willow tho, there are much better deals out there.

For example, even tho this bike has 44k miles on it,  you will not find one nicer anywhere. Its listed in the classifieds for $7495

I wonder why with so little miles that someone would pay big money to put on the Progressive shocks that I see in the picture especially if they weren't going to ride it? Surely, the OEM shocks are still good with such low miles. Just curious....

six guns, I noticed those shocks after I posted, I"m with you, unless the guy had the dealer put all those accessaries on befour it left the dealer, why would someone spend the bucks and labor , and put no miles on it...IF  I was buying it I would look closer  at that 3 miles claim. could be true , But I"M just saying..

I was just jerkin' your chain, Paul.  I was actually hoping to stir up some of the black bike lovers, but it appears they're not as sensitive as I thought, or maybe they just aren't bothered by my opinion.

Ride safe, Paul.  They all look great in the wind.

Willow bite my black behind right where it sits on my black seat which sits on my beautiful Black Pearl. I'd never be caught riding a Blue bike.

Contacted them.  They said it is sold.  Hopefully someone can tell who got it, and the story on the aftermarket shocks.
