Jill and I managed to get out for a while, Saturday. Pictures prove we were there.

Was that held at Nueces County River Park west of the city?  Seems I recall some debauchery going on there during my Navy days in the sixties.  Hoser  cooldude

No, it was held at  a friend's place waynhell down CR-73. Dan is a talented singer/songwriter who has been drag-racing Harley's since Hector was a pup.

You wouldn't recognize that end of town, or the parks. I expect there wasn't much of anything but a truck stop the last time you were there.  Labonte Park is on the Interstate and Hazel Bazemore Park is on SH-624. Debauchery is still known to go on. ;-)

You are probly right, hope Flour Bluff is still somewhat the same, but I suppose not, had a little marina/bar a few miles down the road near the houses with the canal in the back where I used to drink beer underage and push shrimp in the shallows for spare money, Navy pay wasn't much in those days.  I wish I had taken a couple extra days after GOTF to go down and check things out. Still need to do the Lexington Museum for old times sake.  Maybe next year.   Smiley  hoser
