Slow speed crashes are incredibly painful.  I was going less than 5mph when I dropped my Valk at RLAP and still got a concussion with my helmet on!  If this guy was riding without a helmet, it's not at all difficult to believe.

Concur on that.  A friend of a friend died during the Galveston rally, after hitting a trolley track at <10 mph (I think).  Banged his head on the concrete.

Mark:  I didn't know you got a concussion out of that.  Are you OK now?

"OK" is a term that many would disagree with regarding me.  crazy2  I am somewhat back to my normal self.   uglystupid2

I didn't think it was that bad - just ringing in the ears, a little trouble seeing clearly for a minute or so but it was over quickly.  Dr. Lyn-Del did a quick check at the BBQ later and said my eyes were clear.  But I went to my usual doctor when I got back because I wanted to get an x-ray on the shoulder and she told me it was a concussion and to take it easy.  That I should stay off the bike for a few weeks.  This after I rode back from Houston to Arlington.  So I weighed her advice and then took a round trip to Austin and College Station/Snook.

Thanks for checking.

Mark

Glad to hear it is OK!  I noticed you were a little gimpy at the BBQ.  Do NOT want to lose our tour guide to S. TX!

Glad to hear you took the Dr.'s advice to heart!  LOL
