Last week I signed a two year lease on a 'senior' apartment/condo. .  Senior because they are especially suited for senior livng, no younger folk, not government assisted .  Very nice apartments and a far cry from 'assisted living' just set up as an old fogey neighborhood.

It's kinda hard to uproot after being in one home for 56 years, raising four kids, and losing the wife, lot of memories.   I sold the house to Mark three years ago and it's time to move out .

I'll have my new vehicle, a 2011 Mazda Three Sport. It took the place of my Highlander and the Miata.  I hated to see the Miata go (same with the Valk) but the Three is a very responsive car and will also probably fit on a golf cart trail ( no, I won't repeat that!)  Both the car and the Vstrom 1000 will fit in the attached garage at the apartment.  I will be also getting an internet ready TV and stop my expensive TV contract.  Other things are planned too .  I have to look at this as an opportunity and I've had a lot of 'opportunities' in my life.

I'll be keeping up on things here and plan on making it to Inzane either with or without the Vstrom.
Lots of things to do soon with the move coming up.  I'm going to be busy.

Gee, I just thought of something..  I'll truly be Solo1 in my new bachelor pad!  Unfortunately, I won't be fighting off the ladies like Stanley Steamer does.  I'll leave that to experts.

A final word.  The plan is to have an 'apartment warming'  . When the date firms up, all VRCCR's are invited.

Cool Wayne.

Just another part of life.  I hope to have your energy when I am your age.

Some days I feel like I'll never make it that far.  I am only 42, and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Every day feel like the day after a football game to me anymore.

I need to lose about 100 lbs... but just can't seem to even get started.

Hey Wayne,

Do they allow bike parking at your new place?  I wonder what the neighbors would think if 20-30 bikers showed up for a BBQ. cooldude

Loth and All.

The apartment couldn't hold many but the parking is no problem.  My apartment is on the right.

Hey, old timer.    Keep me posted on a date and I'll bust my boyz to be there.

All I need to do is locate an O2 equipment provider that I can rent some equipment off of for a couple of days in your area.........

I can make the drive on probably 2 of my portable tanks.     I can carry 8 of them in the truck for the drive up and back.

Just need equipment for while there, and these places are supposed to have rentals and or loaners all over the country.

Wayne, this looks like a very good and wise move.  Taking care of a home (nee single family dwelling) is never easy, and often a big PITA.  I know I'm tired of mine.  When I move, it'll be another single dwelling, but I am determined to find something that is as low maintenance as possible.  Landscape will be one potted plant!  Watch out for wild women at that place, they generally outnumber us in our maturity.  Best of luck.

Wayne, I know that had to be a difficult move to make, but it shouldn't take long for you to settle in. The place looks like a nice setup for you, just don't compare yourself to Steamer. I hear he has financial trouble.....always having to PAY those women to sit close enough to him for a picture.  2funny

I was hoping to get up north this summer for another scotch 'n soda with you on the balcony, but it's looking less and less likely. Rita is wasting away, almost skin and bones, some days can hardly walk without hanging on to something or someone. I wanted her to take a little drive of 60 miles yesterday, but it was out of the question. Short of a miracle, it doesn't sound like she's up to a 1000 mile trip to Ohio. Guess it's a "wait and see."

Take care my friend, see ya down the road....somewhere.

Wayne, it's tough to leave the familiar behind, but it's always there in our memories. Your newest adventure is beginning, enjoy what's coming, and I hope to ride with you in Michigan (the trike can fit on those golf cart paths...)

I don't know Fudgie.  Is South Bend Drive off of Main street in Ft. Wayne?  Mine is in New Haven on Entrance Dr. .  If they are yellow like the pic, chances are they are the "The Yellow Apartments"  the trade name for all of them.  I understand that Ft. Wayne didn't like the color, bureacratic BS from Ft. Wayne.

Ok, not the same ones. The back looks identical. SB Dr is behind Times Corners- between Lutheran and Jefferson Pointe.
