I bought one of these last summer, and went to install it, but the existing (looks like pressed-in) bolts in the lower triple tree are way too short to install this as is. Anyone else have one of these on an Interstate, and if so, what additional hardware do I need to attach my jewelry? Thanks for your thoughts!

I'm guessing your under-plate holes will line up with the 2 metal hydraulic fasteners. If so, remove those screws, insert new under-plate against the underside of the lower clamp then position the metal hydraulic line, using the hydraulic line and it's screws to hold the item in place.

I am not 100% sure of the plate you are speaking of, but maybe! If I am thinking of the right one the mounting points are the 2 bolts that hold the brake lines to the underside of the lower triple tree. If this is correct then continue to read.

You have an Interstate so you can not use these same 2 bolts as the piece will not be seen well up under the fairing. Remove 1 bolt and metal collar from each saddlebag. use the collar as a spacer, the longer bolt will allow you to bring the jewelry to a nice visible area at the bottom of the fairing. When inserting the threads into the triple tree you should have the brake line closest to the triple tree, then the spacer, then the jewelry, then the bolt head. the spacer should be positioned so the flat part is on the top of the jewelry. The bolt has an 8mm head

I hope this helps!

Huh? Now I'm lost. Why would aftermarket bling for the lower triple clamp suggest pilfering a spacer from the saddlebags.

Have you got a link to the product web site?
