Front wheel bounce

Hi All, I ride an '03 standard, had progressive springs installed a couple of years ago. New Avon about 1K ago balance with Dyna beads. I am experiencing a fairly rough ride, not real unusual with the stiffness of the progressive springs. I think the rough ride is either due to the tire being unbalanced or to much oil in the forks. My question is, is there any way of determining which of these issues is causing the bounce or harshness? My plan is to have the tire balanced first (since I really do not want to deal with the fluid in the forks). So what do you all think?
Thanks again

I don't use Dyna Beads, but from everything I've read up on including rider feedback I would doubt it's the beads.
Have you lifted and spun the front wheel to check for tire issues?
If you truly believe it's likely the beads and want to re-balance with fixed weight I would break down the tire and remove the beads to do it.
I found the progressives too harsh myself and shorted the fluid 2 oz. in each leg.
The right tube is not so difficult but getting past the rebound spring lock-down in the left is only possible with an 1/8" O.D.
rubber
line and a Mighty Vac. That's without removing the rebound spring which may be easier, but more tedious.

I'd jack the front end up and loosen the front axle and then do the proper procedure on tightening the axle back up.
It could very well be that the forks are in a bind and causing the bounce.
Don't ask how I know this. It involved my Chevy Trike w/ the Hardley Wide Glide front end. DUH..........

Your tire is likely out of round. I had a Avon Cobras last year with the same problem. I returned it to the shop and they put my wheel on a balance machine to have a look. After seeing for themselves they replaced the tire. Bounce was gone.

Yep, I'd put it all on the tire!
Out of
round
, out of
balance
or poor
sidewall construction
.
Not too unusual and can sometimes minimize it with experimenting with tire pressures.
