I'm thinking about changing my rear shocks to Hagons. Has anyone tried these on their Valk and got an opinion as to whether they are any good? I want a strong shock to support my 250 pound body!!  Grin and luggage I take away on trips

I use Progressive 440's, as well as many others here that need to beef up the suspension. No complaints here, a little expensive, but well worth it. Sorry, I have never tried the Hagon's.

Just my 2 cents worth. I put Progressive Airshocks on last year. I'm 210#, with wife and all of our stuff, we end being about 360-370#.  I like the shocks because I can get a good ride 2 up, loaded, and then easily dial them back for solo. They're not cheap, but install easily, and let you spend some quality time tinkering with your bike, as you find innovative ways to hide the lines, and air nipple. Also, if you buy them, get a good hand pump, compressor air will be too much for the lines, etc to handle.

Thanks for those comments. You've made me re-think and I'll probably go for the air shocks now. I think they look better than the Hagons too.

Be very careful when ordering air shocks.I bought air shocks for my I/S from progressive and they were never enough for us 2up.We're up around 400# 2up.I think perhaps that although they fit, the internals didn't match the load. When I rode by myself, no problem.I switched to the 440's but I do have some air shocks for sale.

Ok, now you got me worried.  I just picked up a set of used Progressive air shocks last night.  When riding 2 up, we are closer to 500#.  Asked Progressive about this before making the purchase, they said just add more air.  So whats up?

I had the air shocks on my and  I/S and was not working for us. The overall length was too short and lower the back of the bike . I ended up putting the 440s 13HD on and I love the results. Iv'e got a almost new (less than6 mths old) I'ld let got cheap.

I had a set of 440's on and had one go bad. Could not get a replacement for 7 days so went with the Progressive 416 air shocks. Fully loaded on and I/S about 500lbs and found the ride to be a little smoother than with the 440's. Very easy to change from single to 2up.
