Hi i replaced my old alt.last aug. put in a rebuilt from ken who was highly endorse from some in this club ---the voltage reg. went out and was charging at 17.83 --cooked my battery --blew out my front and rear turn and runnin lights -blew the headlight fuse and the low beams --so ken replaced it and i had the new one installed --replaced all blow idems --now my right turn runnin light went out again replaced that --now my raido wont turn on --think i blew the switch --bought one off flee-bay and will put that in -- tickedoff so far this has cost alot of money and grief --i always had alot of faith in my fat lady --i hope the worst is over --im puttin in a volt meter on so i can keep a eye on her --

I installed a digital voltmeter, just a cheapy, not for looks but for utility, on my wires I have on the tank bib, for my audio players.  Got it at Autozone, maybe $10, made to plug into a lighter socket but I just removed that, wired it direct and put velcro on the back.  Not pretty but effective.  With all my juice use and with a 1.3kW alternator, keeping an eye on the volts is necessary.  This one has a digital readout as well as idiot lights to grab your attention - and the display is lit.  I do have it on a switch which I forgot to throw for this picture.
