Intake and Exhaust Gaskets

I have a couple of questions,

1.  Can I replace the exhaust gaskets by just taking off the six nuts on each side?

2.  Can the intake gaskets be replaced without taking the carb saddle out of bike?

Hope the weather is better where you are, no riding here.  Snow may be on the way!

1.Yes but you may have to lossen the pipe mounting bolts ..
2.Yes

You'll have to undo the rear two mount bolts for the exhaust to drop the front down low enough to pull out old gaskets with a pick.  I recommend non-oem gaskets

I found them better than the copper OEM crush.

 What is better about the non-oem copper ring gaskets?  I haven't had a problem with the factory gaskets.

People like the "foam" (or whatever they're made of) gaskets... maybe they reuse better?

I got a set back when I first got my bike, I didn't like them compared to the OEMs (no
scientific reason) and yanked the first three back out before I even bolted on the pipe...

What is better about the non-oem copper ring gaskets?  I haven't had a problem with the factory gaskets.

It's mainly opinion.  This is my fourth exhaust, first two with copper crush and last two with the foam.  The foam seems to seat better and require less followup tightening, they also held up well and I probably could have reused them between the third and fourth exhaust replacement instead of going with new.
