Here is the email I recieved today from my dealer.
This e-mail is being sent to you in regards to order reference #471763, a recent online order that you have placed with us. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has contacted us in regards to this order, as this order contains part(s) that are on a nationwide backorder with the manufacturer. The part(s) that are backordered are as follows:
(1) 40200-MZ0-A00, estimated release date of 6/19/11.

dagwood....your dealer is right......honda keeps running the deliverly date farther forward......company b which is making the u-joint for honda is having a terrible time making a u-joint to honda's specs. honda quality control has turned down the first two runs of the u-joint.

I guess that's a good thing but I know patience is running thin for some. I'll buy one if they ever make another one

Well I think we all want them to be as perfect as is possible so we don't have any additional trouble once installed. My bike is down waiting on the part and I wish I could have one tomorrow. I hope they do maintain the quality of workmanship so these new ones can go 300,000 miles with no issues.
