I realize the OE rails are prohibitively expensive, but the MC rails look like curtain rods to me.
Still, the bags are also expensive, and the MC rails do offer some protection.

If you got a hitch or getting one, forget it. I couldnt get mine to fit. Even cut my new set up trying to get it to fit. Now they hang from the rafters in the garage.
Now Painter got his to fit with his hitch and they look good.

The original Honda bag rails are a very good addition to the Valkyrie.
All you have to do is install them and you will realize how very much they add to the strength and stability of the whole rear end, the bags and everything.
Honda doesn't miss a thing in the design and finish.

These were on my bike when I got it a little over a year ago. I've had them off to remove rear tire. They are solid, the chrome is good and I like them.

They do look nice, and nice looking fast black (like mine). Do you know if these are OEM or the MC Enterprises rails? The OEM wrap around the front and are securely bolted in front of the saddlebage. The MC Enterprises , I believe, wrap around the front alittle bit and are not bolted in front.

Don't think they are OEM because they have the little piece of triangular chrome at the back rear corners where the lights are attached in your first link. the pic of the OEMs don't seem to have that. didn't know what brand until now.

There is more than that!
The way they fasten in the back is different and the OEM don't go up behind the license plate nor do the dual rails either.

The ones pictured are MC Enterprises. The easiest way for me to tell the difference is that the OEM rails hug the contours of the bags and the MCE rails are straight down the sides and across the back. After that, the OEM rails form a slight "V" under the rear fender. One thing I prefer about the MCE rails over OEM is the antenna mount perches in the rear corners.

Those mounts on the MCE rails are one thing that I really like.
