Anybody out there using the cobra Quiet Core baffles into their 6x6's? If so What do you think? Do they make a difference?

I just bought a 1997 with 24.000 miles on it. Today I removed the baffles in the Cobra pipes to see how it would affect the bike. It is a lot louder of course, but it seemed to have lost power in the mid to upper range. I don't know if they are what you call the quiet baffles or not, but I think I'm going to put them back in in the morning. If I could find a used set I might experiment with drilling a few 1/4 holes in each end to see if I can get it to sound a little deeper without loosing the power. This might be due to the carb setting. I do love the sound of it without the baffles. I am installing a K&N air filter also to see what that does.
