Does anyone happen to know what the ID is on the radiator hose? I'm not lazy but I'd hate to drain my coolant just to get a measurement.  My plan is to go to an auto parts store and get a SS braided hose....if they have any that diameter. That black hose in front of a chrome radiator is just plain fugly IMO!

I have a brand new Show Chrome SS hose but after reading posts, I am scared to put it on because of leaks and hose blowing off.

Thanks

My i/s came with the stainlees steel or chrome slinky. I don't have the chrome grill-yet. Since i cleaned it all up and shined it up-that slinky thingy is way better to look at than that black hose. Not sure where to start but it's an option. RIDE SAFE.

Thanks old2soon, I didn't know I/S came with them. It'll be easier going that way...if it's not to high. I'm checking them out now. Thanks cooldude

I bought the braided ss hose sleeve kit (Mr. Gasket kit #8092 around $36.00).  It has a few different sizes to fit radiator, fuel, vacuum, etc.
The aluminum clamp covers didn't fit right, so I used chrome sink drain pipe like some have used for tube toppers to cover the clamps.

Great idea, thanks for sharing! I went to HDL and other sites and found a number( 19123-MBY-000 ) that might be it or it could be showing hose with the black wire slinky like I have now. I think the Standard is 1500C and Tourer- 1500CT, 1500SE-Goldwing...What is the Interstate?

Thanks for the info and it's good to know I can get one for $27 that's made for it!. But a super nice guy just sent me a pm saying he has had the Show Chrome on for 6 years - so that is encouraging. I will try that first cause it sure looks good and I don't have to buy it! Lol

If all else fails, it's good to know I can order the slinky.
Thanks cooldude

Get the stainless slinky, shove it over a pipe or dowel rod that will just fit inside it, and polish it on a buffing wheel till it shines like (or better) than chrome.  You won't be disappointed...JTL

This link shows generic parts, including a radiator hose. Maybe you could use it in conjunction with the braided ss hose mentioned by Jay: http://www.jkozloski.com/generic_parts.htm
