something about this statement makes me cry b.s.:
"The lawsuit said the officer did not let him take a step before grabbing his right arm and twisting it behind him. It said two officers marched him down several ramps to the stadium's exit, where he was pushed out as one officer told him to leave the country if he didn't like it."
That sounds made up to my ears.....

The old paraphrase comes to mind:  "Methinks thou dost protest too much"

"Bradford Campeau-Laurion says in his federal lawsuit his rights were violated at an Aug. 26 game between the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox when he tried to pass a police officer.

The lawsuit said the officer did not let him take a step before grabbing his right arm and twisting it behind him. It said two officers marched him down several ramps to the stadium's exit, where he was pushed out as one officer told him to leave the country if he didn't like it.

Police spokesman Paul J. Browne said the officers, who were being paid by the Yankees to work at the Bronx stadium, ejected Campeau-Laurion, 30, after they "observed a male cursing, using inappropriate language and acting in a disorderly manner while reeking of alcohol."

He said the officers "decided to eject him rather than subject others to his offensive behavior."

The lawsuit said Campeau-Laurion, who lives in Queens, and a friend "enjoyed the game quietly," though there were rowdy young men seated a few rows away. After buying a second beer an hour after his first, Campeau-Laurion remained in his seat, eating peanuts and watching the game, it said".

OK I'm confused,

was he thrown out of the park or did he watch the game???

If I had to guess the answer to this one, I'd have to say it became the "norm" when prayer was removed from the schools because a few students' parents didn't want them to be subjected to prayer.

And it has snowballed from there.

Seams to me that the 2 police officers were also in violation of stadium policy for escorting him out during the anthem.
If they respected the anthem, they should have restrained him until it was over.
Just MHO, YMMV!

Big Al I dont see anywhere that it read that patroitism was required to be displayed.

His story was that.  He was quietly going to the restroom during the song.

Seriously....Think about that for a minute... him and how many hundreds of other people were moving about to get to the bathroom or food line. Are we really so nieve that we are to beleive they he was the only one moving about or that he was picked out of the crowd  for pacifily going to the bathroom?

Seriously?

The two police officers was that he was drunk and roudy and disruptive.

Personally I don't think the LEO went looking for him to throw out because he looked like he was of an unpatriotic sort .

Those are pretty hard to spot!  Loud Obnoxious Drunks are pretty easy to pick out in a crowd.

As an ex-LEO officer I can say with complete confidence that 99.9 % of LEO in that job were there for one of two reasons.

1.  They are under paid and have to work extra jobs in their off time to feed their families.
2.  They love baseball and was hoping to see the game and pick up some extra cash.

Looking to eject anti-patriotic sorts is NOT ON THE LIST! Trust me none of the LEO were there because they wanted to work!!!

I believe the LEO's statements...lets face it...we (I have been there) Baseball game, tail gating...drinking my face off...rule of thumb, unless you are an A_Hole...once they start signing National Anthem or God Bless America, you stand tall and shut your pie hole...even a drunk understands that...but this guy must be a drunkin MORON...most LEO's I know would have told him to pee his pants...

Another lawsuit to tie up everyone's time and money...and the lawyer that took the case...do not get me started with that one.... tickedoff

NYPD  Say's this A- Hole was drunk and disorderly. The only mistake they made was giving him a break and not issuing a citation!

I agree.  He should have gone to jail rather than out the door. I have found through out my life that the people who whine the most are the ones you try to help out by cutting them a break be it an out the door rather than jail or even a discounted price on a product or service provided.  Many (not all) are very ungreatful of the breaks in life they are given.
