Will a front fender chrome rail off of a standard fit on an I/S ?  Looks like it would exept maybe wont clear the big chrome thing on the front of the I/S fender, would like to know before removing from standard. Also, not sure how to remove chrome thing off of I/s, I suspect it is glued on?

Here does this help at all?

Actually I have NO idea if it will fit for sure, but since I have no idea what yours looks like I thought a few pictures of mine might help you figure it out... I do believe that chrome thingy is glued or doubleback taped on

Thanks for the pictures, nice looking bike!  I believe they are different as I see yours has a mounting point in the front of the fender where mine doesen't.  Where your front mounting point is, mine has a "V" conecting the two rails together but no mount.

I have the "V" rail* on a 99 interstate, and it fits to within about an 1/8" of the chrome blob on the fender, but does not (ever) touch.  It came on the bike when I got it, and I looked but cannot see any apparent modification(s) on the bolt-up.

Tuck a towel/rag around the fender before working (thin enough to allow the rail to clear the chrome blob) to avoid paint damage. Install all hardware to finger tight first, then walk around snugging up to keep the V centered.  (see customer reviews on the HDL link I provided)

i have the cobra front rail and the interstate ornament on my TOURER....and it fits. What is TOUGH to get to fit...is the Cobra front rail and the Hondaline chrome fork covers. that is EXTREMELY difficult to get to line up. i don't let the local Honda shop touch those parts when they do front tire maintenance for me....I take the parts off myself. It takes REAL patience to get them to line up...........
