Got home yesterday, pushed down on the kickstand peg with my foot, it clanked to the pavement!  Looks like the weld broke right where it attaches to the main bar.  It would be a simple weld job to re-attach the peg, but I'm wondering if I should just replace the whole side stand bar, $129 from HDLparts, $9.95 from Pinwall.  Are all the kickstands interchangeable from  year to year?

Yes I believe they are. I think the Interstate kickstands are a little wider at the foot though.
I would get a good used one as well.

Ahh good.  Thanks Dave.  I also found A new one for about $55 shipped from PowerSportsPlus.  At least it would be shiny.  Haha

The entire kickstand fell to the ground? Or it just dropped like the spring is gone? Mine did that, and I just had to replace the bolt that holds the spring. If so, buy 2 or 3 and keep spares.

No the small arm or peg that you step on to bring down the kickstand broke off at the weld.  I managed to dismount the bike while keeping it balanced, then fishing around with my foot to get the actual kickstand arm down.

you could drill and tap a hole and put a shiny, chrome bolt in there to replace the arm....

Same Thing happened to my bike. My friend welded it back on for me. Has held up for 3 years so far. Be sure to grind off the chrome before welding to get down to good metal. Repaint that part after welding to prevent rust.

I feel a good used Honda stand would be better that any aftermarket item, seeing you're laying the welfare of your scoot in it's care!
