posted before about alt. not charging because of wire not having juice: Now I got juice to the wire found short in conection block by batt. box Only fixed the wire!!!   Now bike won't start!! checked ing. switch ok. checked selonoid ok. checked ground and put on another from eng. to frame. bike started fine before !!!  Now the wire that runs the selonoid has no juice this is the y/R wire and the green/ orange wire.  could it be a relay and how do I test them also how do I test cluch diod. the green/orange wire is to have cont. with the cluch lever pulled and the kickstand up. but mine only has cont. if I put a jumper wire on the clutch diod and pull the lever and put the kickstand up ANY HELP with the proper way to test the relavant componets and what order thay should be tested.

if you don't put the curved side down it won't run.  It's on the back side of the center cover under the seat.

no I did not bypass the plug I only repaired the bad wire put dioelectric grease in the plug and put back together however I did have a problem with the 55amp fuseable link all the screws kept striping is there any way to change this link to one that is not so flimsy.  Anyho this link doesn't have anything to do with the starting of the bike or does it?  the problem I have now is the wires that goes to the start button theres no juice at the selonoid so it doesn't trip the selonoid to start the bike. I know there is a diod and a relay and other componits that will stop the flow of juice to these wires I need to know what thay are and in what order do I check them in and how i check them I do have juice to the red wire at the selonoid all fuses are good all lights work including the start button kill headlight button.  And thanks to all who chimed in on the other problem.

Small thing but you need to be sure your transmission is in neutral.

Just unplug it.  I discovered last year that mine was unplugged when I bought it 4 years ago.  I plugged it back in and discovered the Valk wouldn't start. Ordered a used one from Pinwall.  When I got it I discovered the printing on the mounting side that told me mine was mounted upside down.  Mounted mine correctly and it worked.  So now I have a spare.

I'd check that plug connection again to be sure it's actually making good contacts. Dielectric grease does not conduct electricity if contact is not made between any of the male - female bullet connections within.
