Cheap rear rack made from wire shelving for a closet.

Cut to size and sprayed black.



Added a flat piece of aluminum to stiffen it up.

Fitted and held in place with zip ties.





It is narrower than the saddlebags.

I think it must be a personality trait of KLR owners to make things for themselves.  Ive noticed alot of it surrounding the KLR crowd in particular as compared to the BMW and KTM adventure bike guys.

Ze BMW und KTM riders seem to have more discretionary spending power

I have a friend with a GS1200. He must have over $7,000 of Touratech stuff (crap) stuck on his bike.

My saddlebags cost $10 off eBay  Cheesy More money for gas, tires and motels.

JB Weld, QuikSteel http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Service/quiksteel_epoxy_putty.htm takes up very little room in a saddlebag.
