Anyone using the exhaust gaskets from directline parts? If so any problems?  Also where are they located on the bike. Pulled off my cobra 6x6's  and felt up into the holes and I cant feel anything up there.  They weren't stuck to the pipes.... Am i not looking hard enough?

YOUNGPUP...use the honda oem exhaust gaskets, not the fiber ones.  if you look up into the exhaust port, you will see the crushed gaskets...they are copper looking.  just take a dental pick, and pull each one out.  when you install the new ones, take a small blob of axle grease in your hand, and coat the gaskets real good with the grease.  then push the gasket into the hole....the grease will hold the gasket in there (put all 6- gaskets in.) then all you have to do is reinstall the pipes without having to worry about the gaskets falling out.

when I had my flat on the MC tire, I followed the book on the removal and pulled the right side pipes (cobra) and found nothing but red rtv in there,,got some gaskets off ebay (green and silver, very thick) and had one hell of a time getting the nuts back on..in fact one is now cross threaded..not looking forward to taking those off again...haven't even touched the other side, it ain't leaking so I am leaving it alone..at least until I score a different set of quieter pipes..

Could be!  You need a flashlight and get under the heads.

Also possible is there are none there. A PO could have left them out!
