Man, I sure wanted to be in New Mexico on Memorial Day weekend. Looked like my visa was going to work out that I could be there, but alas, I am going to miss it since I will be recovering from surgery and I think that is too close to surgery to travel with a helmet on, etc. Ya'll pass a very, very large time! Sure wish I could have made it...... Going in on the 20th to have my two Protid glands removed from my face/neck and won't get out of the hospital until the next day. Good news is that it is 90% to be benign but the bad news is I won't be able to travel the following week to make Tucemcari. Pass a large time over yonder - sure wish I could be with you! Sure had been looking forward to seeing some family members again....

Actually it is "Parotid" glands or saliva glands. I had the lower half of the one on the right side removed because of a cyst back in 2006. Strider, did the Dr explain about numbness and tingling on the side of your face and ear? (in your case both sides) The nerves in your face run through the parotids. It has been over 5 years and the feeling on the right side of my face has finally come back. Shaving is going to be a new experience for you.

Ok Strider --- just how long did you spend searching MedMD to come up with some lame ass excuse like Protid/Parotid?!?! I mean --- jeez whiz ---- if you don't want to come to New Mexico to see your long lost brother from another mother --- he's done gone and pissed you off just say so! You don't have to dream up some crazy surgery and lay up in a hospital to avoid us --- we can take a hint!! Least you could have said your "JP GPS" was broke -- or you couldn't find a map to Tucumcari --- ppfftt spend your time back home doing something like surgery --- you done went and bumped your head boy!! No reason to be scared ---- we promise not to let them take you in One a serious note --- I had secretly been praying you'd actually get to make it this year. It's been way too long since you strolled over to our side of the Country and we sure do miss you Brother! We can't seem to catch a break --- we're there you're gone --- we're in NM and you're having surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery --- and certainly would welcome you in a PT Cruiser if you were so inclined! I'm sure Flamingo Babe would be more then happy to let you populate the back seat of her Spyder We're going to miss you brother.

Warren, at least this way you gave everyone an avenue of who to talk about...
Surgery isn't too bad, you could rent a PT Cruiser and go anyway.
