Hey Scooter,

Duffy and I are riding out of the northern suburbs (Roswell/Alpharetta).  You are more than welcome to ride up with us.  Seems we always take the same route as there is only really one decent one.  Haven't got any details as of yet but will get them for you asap.

Howdy Scooter...

I'm going, and I think Henry is going... we plan to go through north Georgia. I googled it all
out last year and ended up unable to go. I haven't re-done the route yet, but I remember
it being a 7 or so hour ride. Lot's longer than through Atlanta, but lots more fun.

shoot me now.

Glenda and I are heading out in the morning.  We're heading the direct route down I-20.  At this point am not sure exactly what time yet.  Can give you heads up as it gets closer.
Would love to hook up with anyone from this way heading over.

Am really looking forward to ride!

Coming through Atlanta isn't all that bad!?   Undecided But a North Ga route is certainly more enjoyable.  cooldude

Last year we met Joe and his group at I-75 and Barrett Parkway (north of Atlanta a little), had lunch and headed over to Cheaha. That was cool.

Anyone want to meet there again this year?

Is the rumor true that Steamer is not coming?

If we take the same route or one similar, count Glenda and me in.  We had a blast on that run.  After 3 hours doing interstate to Atlanta, I will be ready for some twistin' fun.   Evil  Keep us informed.

Will be good to see you again Duffy.  Is Duffy Jr coming on this run too?

Ride safe

OK, sounds good.  cooldude

Yeah Robert, I would likely take the same route (more or less  laugh). It's a good route, thanks to Britman.  Cool

We could plan to meet at that Mexican restaurant just off 75 at Barrett Pkwy at noon to eat and ksu 1 pm?

Something like that? We'll see who can meet and go from there.  Cheesy

YeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaa it's Cheahaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

depending on timing, I could be in for meeting at the same I75 exit as last year.  I quite enjoyed that ride.

Yes it's true, Steamer won't be going to Cheaha. He is saving his money for the blue/GRAY ride.

I met up with the Smokin Joe group last year too, don't know what I'm going to do this year. Don't want to take the Interstates, might as well trailer it if I'm gonna ride that way(I don't have a bike trailer).  I would like a shorter and quicker ride over there this year w/o superslabs.

Scooter - isn't the superslab the shortest and fastest way?  Undecided

The way we went last year (and maybe a cuople other times) is a good route, more enjoyable than the highway for me.  Smiley C :)ome join us if you like.

But hay, if you have a better idea/route, I am open to something new.  cooldude

Looking at Streets and Trips, it shows that you can take 20 from right outside Auburn all the way over to Center, Alabama and drop down on 9 to Piedmont and 21 to Anniston (right by Cheaha).

Just a thought.  I guess we will be dropping down from Gadsden to Anniston and up the mountain.

Duffy,

I'm planning on meeting for lunch, then riding over (at least part way), and then returning home.  I can't make the weekend event because I have to leave town on Saturday.  See you there unless you guys need to change plans.
