I am trikeing my Valk using a Jaguar rear and HD air shocks for suspension.  My question is the Pig (center) location.  Do you set it up on centerline since the 1500 drives from right side---OR --- can I offset the rear a couple of inches to the right and minimize driveshaft angle.  If the air shocks are controled individually, I could compensate for the different fulcrum points due to different length axles with pressure differences.  Give me some input  PLEASE______?   Thanks!!!

STOP NOW! Too wide. Too heavy. Way too expencive. Too many problems to overcome, set up, fabracation, brakes, rear end ratio, tires and wheels, special made axles, etc, etc, etc. Sell the Jag rear end to the street rodders! Take the $$$ and call the Trike Shop in White Bear Lake, Minn. Their Valk trike kit  is set up like Jag or late Vette. Uses 10 bolt GM diff converted to IRS. Special axles. Late VW cv joints and disc brakes. Coil springs, sway bar, and shocks. Air bags could replace the coils with minimum amount of work 16 or 17in. tires and wheels. Nice glass body, undercarrage all put together. All direct bolt on to your Valk!! Bleed the brakes and paint. Fork needs to be raked out!! I have 8 degree and it is perfict. Runs like a Valk and corners like a slot car!! $10 grand and you have a neat lookin, butt  kickin ride in about a week!!              Ron (Fuzzy) Miles

You folks must have more money than I do.  I am a toolmaker--I can do fabrication work ---and I can also do mechanic work.  That is why I decided to build my own, and I don't have a lot of funds to spend on project but do have time and skills.  Thanks for your thots.

Hey sgt.  If you got the jag already go for it. I have built two myself but with solid axles, if I do another one it will be IRS. I like the looks of the center pumpkin and have had no problems with drive line. I cut mine down to 34 inches from plate to plate. One has drums the other has disks. The frount of drive I used stock U joint and shaft then built an adapter to Ford U joint with bolt on plate. I now know that it would be alot eaiser to build the IRS bolt on than having to fab another swingarm. I have been told that the Subaru , Datsun Z , or the Ford IRS all work well. And can get parts for cheap. I run both stock rearends with 2.72 gears. Gives me 2500 rpms at 65 mph. I can fab and work with metal but cant figure out how to post pictures. E-mail me and I think I can send some pictures of my trike.

geeze guys, the roadsmith uses a 8.5 inch mustang rear end, not a 10 bolt gm.
