Anyone have this happen? I was riding along going about 40 mph in 4th gear and I had to pass the car in front of me. I accelerated hard and all of a sudden she pops out of gear and screams to high heaven. Shocked I backed off the throttle right away, pulled the clutch in and kicked it back into gear. It seemed like it went in between gears or something. Is that possible? Do I have a potential problem brewing? All seemed fine after that. I didn't know that could happen. ??? Opinions please. Thanks, Scott T

I've only done it when going from 1st to 2nd and not fully engaged 2nd,  :uglystupid2:and yes it does scream.
never had it in other gears though. Undecided

I have had that happen with Valkyries & a Spirit 750. I guess it was just not having the gear "clicked in" all the way. Rarely happens, nothing wrong with the bikes at all. I blame myself.  Embarrassed

That happened to me last summer within 2 miles on the first ride after I changed the clutch master cylinder fluid.  Not sure if it was related to the fluid change and not sure if it was 2-3 or 3-4, but it wasn't 1-2.  Startled me pretty good, but has never happened again since.

I agree with Tropic. I think it just wasn't fully in gear.  It has happened to me on a few bike types, including Valk.  Relax and ride.   Cool

If you are lazy once in awhile in putting it into the next gear, yes it will happen as that transmission was designed to be slammed into gear.........

It used to happen to me all the time before I put on Chet's kick shifter.

This dude.
