I have a Zummo 550 Gps and would like to find a Bluetooth headset to exploit all of its features.

Does anyone have experience with this Cardo product?

Is it realistic to think that I could keep the second headset and give it to whoever I was riding with or a passenger fairly easily?

How's the sound quality?

What's a good price?

Any help or alternative products would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul Evil

I have the Q2 and I am using it with a Zumo 550 and I have no complaints.  Some people state that the communications sound great and the music sound is so so. On mine I think the music sounds good.  Also the Q2 is two speaker mono versus stereo that other headsets have. From my experence it don't matter to me because after 45mph from the wind and the noise around you it gets crunched together. Stereo just means two seperate channels and what is important to me is Hifi which means sound quality. Now if you are thinking about getting XM Radio to the headset via Bluetooth its not going to happen with any headset due to the bandwith of XM. But there is a work around for that and that is the wiREVO D1000 V not the D1000 if you are planing on using the cell phone.  If you look on the net you can find them for about $60-$70, I just bought a second one for backup for $59. I have this setup and have no issues, you have to understand this is a motorcycle not your home surround sound system so there is a little trade off.  The Scala Team set has the basics/ rider to pass. the Scala Q2 multi set you have bike to bike and a built in FM six channel radio with rider to pass. I looked in the net for a HD friend and found some really good prices on the Q2 multi set, but you have to search around.  Also I use my Q2 on a half helmet  rather the full. I hope this helps.

Dreammaker - Thanks for all the info, I too have been looking for a good bluetooth headset option...

I too wear a half helmet, and have been concerned about trying to make any headset work with it. Have you had any issues related to putting it on a helmet that doesn't cover your ears?

Thanks!

No. What I did is goto a trophy shop and bought some extra 1" lapel pins that they had lying around, I paid a buck each. Then I cut out two round circles little over a inch out of velcro, black. I then took a piece of black duct tape and pushed the pin part through the sticky part of the center of the tape. I then took the velcro circle, with the fuzzy side out and centered it on the other side of the pin side and pressed it to the tape. Then I trimmed the tape. I had to trim out a little of the foam on the inner part of the helmet so the control would have max. grabbing. Very little. I works great and it is almost invisible. You would have to adjust speakers to location of your ears. The pics maybe more helpful. I noticed that the clips tend to fall off, so I used a die and put a 0-80 thread on it and I am making two round pieces of plastic to screw on the pins. Even withuot the screw ons it stays in place.

Thanks for the help.  The cheapest I found it for was 258.35.  Is that the best price?
