Has anybody have ideas on a save & small container for fuel, to place in a saddlebag for just in case?
(1-2 litres that won't leak and smell)

There's a triangular one somewhere that would fit nicely in the rear of the OE bags, but I can't find it.

Get a can of solvent from WalMart.

They're metal, have good screw caps and will not leak.

Some guys use leftover Sea Foam cans. Whichever wqy you go, good luck with no gas smell.

Those MSR bottles work great.  They are made for backpacking and have a rubber grommet on the lid.  They do not leak and there are no fumes.  I have been using them for years.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I bought a aluminum water bottle at wal-mart for $4. Works good. The b!tch is getting it in the tank w/o spilling it.  tickedoff I carry a funnel now when I carry gas.

I used to carry two 1.5 liter Primus fuel bottles until I got a belly tank.  Here is a llink to several dealers.  http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1RNPN_enUS408&aq=0&oq=1.5+liter+fuel&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=1.5+liter+fuel+bottle#q=1.5+liter+fuel+bottle&hl=en&rlz=1C1RNPN_enUS408&prmd=ivnsfd&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=yvLPTf39H5L2tgPToq26Cw&ved=0CEIQrQQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=9072aabcc49e1448&biw=1399&bih=795

This was discussed about a month or two ago, someone mentioned the triangle gas cans, and I believe there where either from Harley or made for them, so it might help a little on the search.

I would do a search here first, and see what was said. There was a lot of talk about the priceses too. Like $30 for the gas can.

I have this one and it does fit in rear af saddlebag nicely.  Paid for itself the one time i had to use it when riding into strong headwind and ran out of gas a couple miles from the next station.  Was back on road in a couple of minutes.  cooldude

That was the Reda Gas Can that winemkr linked to.
