Nothing beats a 6-pack!

Well, took two days, but got my Murph's Kit's CCS-100 cruise control. Also plan on doing a total de-smog while I'm at it. I like the idea of Redeye's kit, with the plugs, and hold downs, at $50. I also like the idea of doing it for around $10, just plugging the tubes, etc. I have a lathe, so I could make some nice, polished aluminum plugs, but the spring hold-downs would be a little difficult. I need to do a little more research, before I attempt it, so I can know exactly what I am going to do, before I start. I also ordered my cover set and screen set for the Interstate tank (Thanks again, Gordon!!), so I will be ready to go.

Anyone have the Redeye kit, and what are your thoughts on it? Seems to me to be a nice look, when done. Worth the $50?

I really, REALLY think I'll have the Valk about where I want it, after the I'state tank, and cruise are on it. I figure de-smogging while I'm in there, will only make setting the cruise up easier, and hopefully I can get by with taking vacuum off the carbs, and not need to make a canister. Seems like a lot have great luck going canister-less.

Maybe I should have a wrench party...seems there are quite a few Hoosier Valk owners around.

I might get to ride YET, this year!   Grin

Roger, I went to a machine shop and got the freeze plugs and cut block off plates from a small piece of sheet metal with hi temp gasket maker.  Cost was under $10.

Got the freeze plugs from NAPA and slagged in the remains of the exhaust tubes. then reinstalled them with new gaskets. Don't even  have to pull the exhaust if you have a good set of ball end allen wrenches.  cooldude
