What kind of result do you get putting a nitrous system on a valk?  I saw one on a Suzuki at a rally last weekend and it looked interesting.

You sometimes get a reaction of "Holy cow!  This is fast", followed by "Uh, oh...  What was that loud 'clunk' I just heard from the engine"!

It may get you to the accident sight 30 minutes a head of the emergency response team.

The setup alone would be complicated. A fogger in the intake would distribute to the 6 carbs uneven.  You would need to figure the deliver out first.  I had it on a VTX1800 for a while, 50 or 100 hp shot was impressive.

The guy with the Suzuki (a drag racer) said he would recommend, on the Valkyrie, one nozzle in the airbox for just "fun use".  He said that would not shock (jolt) the engine as bad when the nitrous is fired.

I'm not serious about doing it, I just wondered how well the system works.  I am in no hurry to get to the accident "site", or anywhere else fast.  I ride a "cruiser, remember.

I've had mine in for a long time (about 8 yrs).  I don't use it often, though.

I use 2 foggers in the air box.  Distribution seems to be okay.  It is probably about a 30 shot size.
It is home made from a random kit, and I have drilled the fuel & nitrous jets to fit.

Hey Bluevalk

I you had to do it over again, is that how you would set up the system, two foggers in the airbox?

Just dreaming, but sometimes I'd like to show these jackasses on ninjas that I'm a bigger jackass than they are.

If I ever show signs of growing up or maturing, would somebody please shoot me.

Yes, I would.  There are two convenient flat areas.  One in front left corner, and the other in the back.  Seems to work fine.
