INTERNET FRAUD VIA CRAIGSLIST ON A VALKYRIE I THOUGHT I HAD BOUGHT

It has been pointed out, that I came off "too strong". I apologize. I still stand by my conviction, that Alias was declared "guilty" before having a chance to defend himself, but I did point fingers at others, and for that I am sorry.

Aye, that's  the worst part ! We talked at work. Friend  said  it's  the same with  cars  - the photo , fake  escrow , the whole nine  yards . And happening  much more often . She follows cars a lot .

I did a "SEARCH TEMPEST" search for the CL scam bike today, and did not find it listed.

Good job on hitting craigslist re the constant Valkyrie scams! I've been after them for years and have never made any headway. Today I did my traditional scan on craiglook.com with a search for Honda Valkyrie and a price range of $1000-$4000. Although 17 fraudulent listings showed up, the links seldom connected, and craigslist ads are missing entirely. That has NEVER happened before! I'm thrilled that you are making a difference!

Sorry to hear about the scam.  I know what its like to really want a Valkyrie.  I was very blessed when I came to the VRCC site and talked to a few people about what I wanted.  Me not knowing what I was doing or what I was looking for out of a Valk, I talked with quite a few people.  When I finally found my 99 Valk I/S, of course, I made a lot of phone calls, emailed questions and got pics.   The bike was located just north of San Antonio, Tx.   I was also coached by quite a few members(Roadkill, Chrome, and many more)  JoeValk I/S called someone in S/A and they called Hayhauler, who, I didn't know from Adam.  He and I talked a bit and he volunteered his time,(on a weekend, no less) to ride from Pearland to where the dealership was.  My wife and I drove down and started to look at the bike.  Jimmy showed up on his I/S and introduced himself.  He ran through some rain, but still came. With his and Joe's advice, I bought my first Valkyrie.  There are a lot of great people here.  My club here in the DFW area are a great bunch of people.  They have helped me with advise and even helped me quite a bit on wrenching on my Valk.  But like everywhere else you have good then bad.  Once you figure who is what then its not a problem.  Hang in there bro.  Never give up on your dream of Valk ownership.  Hell, it took me 2.5 years till I could finally afford to buy mine.  And these people put up with me, even before I bought my Valk.  Be Safe out there.  And Happy Memorial Day to you and all out there.

I have flagged them twice today for spam and over post and they are still up?

I have flagged them over 30 times each since Friday. I don't know what it takes for removal.

I've had adds flagged and removed from CL within an hour and in a week and have no idea why on some and the reason given makes no sense on others. cheap lawn mowers and tractor parts, car parts.

  I did buy my Valkyrie from CL, drove over 200 miles with cash for agreed price hoping the guy was of upstanding morals/ethics, he was beyond reproach and spent several hours with him.

Used the links in this post and flagged them all again. 

I also bought my Valk on CL.  Took a cashiers check with me for the amount he wanted.  Once I looked the bike over I had him give me $500 in cash and I gave him the check.  The rear wheel was shot, and one of the front forks was leaking.  According to his post all was good and near new.  Once I pointed out the obvious he didn't argue and agreed to lower the price.  Overall a good experience.
