Ok so I 'm ditching the Cobra 6x6's ( too loud to ride to work with little babies at home) while I'm waiting for the package monkeys to deliver the stock set, I'm wondering about the setting on the cobra needles that were installed with the pipes. Is there a "stock" setting on these needles? Also what do the needles do? what does changing the position of those TINY jesus clips do to the whole arrangment?  Thanks in advance.... angel

They're on their way to me.

I did they same thing a few years ago. I ended up dropping the needles all the way down and the bike runs fine. This settings gives you the leanest setting and it may not work for you. My plugs looked the best that way and the bike runs great . TJ

youngpup......why don't you just get ride of those cobra needles, and get you a set of oem TOJO HONDA needles?  that way you won't have to keep taking the clip style needles in and out to adjust the jesus clips.  put the stock in/adjust your fuel/air mixture....your finished.  just a thought.

When I bought my 2002 it had Cobra pipes and needles. I installed new take-off Interstate exhaust and didn't touch the needles. The clips are installed in the second from top groove. I'm pleased with the performance and mileage.

The needles are tapered and meter the flow of fuel through the main jets. Moving the clips up lowers the needles restricting the fuel flow.
