Hey guys, I recently was left a bunch of motorcycles from my grandfather who passed away, one of them being a 99 Valkyrie Interstate. It is complete, minus the clutch lever and master cylinder. I've been having troubles finding a replacement, and am wondering if a clutch lever with master cylinder will work off of a honda goldwing around the same year, since they are easier to find? Thanks for the help.

Check pinwall on e bay. These folks always have a lot of valkyrie stuff. Hope this helps. Look at their ad-think it has a phone #. RIDE SAFE.

There's also Directline for new OEM parts.

I checked Pinwall's ebay listings and there isn't a clutch master cylinder listed.

Call Pinwall as sometimes they have stuff that has not been lists yet. Welcome to the world of the valks.  VTX 1800  master cylinders look close maybe even the 1300 might fit.

In answer to the question.  A GL1500 wing unit should NOT fit.  They are different. It is very possible that an early pre-gl1500 unit might fit. Part of the difference is the handlebar diameter 7/8 on the wing vs 1" on the Valk.

I would think that a VTX 1800 would work.  The part numbers are different on HDL but they seem to have the same stuff.  Both are 1" bars.  The VTX1300 won't work since it is a cable operated clutch.

Thanks guys for all the helpful information. Funny thing is that, with the motorcycles I was left by my grandfather, when he passed away, one of them is 2002 Honda VTX 1800R. I was sure how interchangeable the parts were. I was looking at the 1996 Goldwing SE I also has left to me, which I thought would be a closer bike for "alike" parts, but ill have to check it out. Thanks.

I found a clutch master cylinder assembly from Pinwall, that is off of a 2002 VTX1800. I'm thinking that I'll pick that one up, since I'm not going to pull parts from one of the other bikes, since I want to keep them all in working order. Thanks again.

One of the other operator here has a 2002 VTX 1800  that is parked right next to my valk. If there is any difference in the master cylinders I can't tell it with the naked eye. Sorry about the bad advice on the 1300 clutch, I forgot that they are cable operated.
