I just pulled the trigger on a '98 Standard on Monday and am loving it! I'm stepping up from a Shadow ACE I bought after coming back from the desert a few years ago and my only regret is not buying a Valk in the first place.
I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I am sure I'll have plenty of questions as I get up to speed on the new bike.

This board has a wealth of knowledge,,, search is your friend and if that leaves you still needing info don't hesitate to post a question, there are many who frequent this board with years of experience with the Valk and willing to share their knowledge. Old saying I have/had if you don't want to get deployed, you shouldnt've signed up. I wasn't wearing an eagle, globe, and anchor, though. I was wearing the army green.
