I was wondering how my buddies in the state of LA were prepared for the flood waters that are headed your way.  I see that the city of Gonzales is very near a bend in the Mississippi river.  I hope you guys are far enough away to miss the flooding!

How do you other LA brothers feel you will come out after the flood waters are gone?

Y'all stay safe over there.

MRS.T.P.   Talked to Jackie at 11:30  and they are dry, ditches are dry and nothing has been breached.

I work just west of Gonzales in the area of Geismar.  We are on the river.  So far, no breach of the levee here.  Everything still dry.  Working all weekend nights, got to love shiftwork.

My parents live about 5 miles from the Levee west Baton Rouge (Pointe Coupee / West Baton Rouge parish line runs through their back yard)...

My in-laws live about 20 FEET from the Levee in Morganza...

So far, both are high and dry... but them Morganza people been kind-a antsy since they opened the flood gates!!   Shocked

I would bet "antsy" is being kind.

Good luck to all of you in the path of the water.
