Whats the difference between a standard and an interstate stock exhaust system. Other than the tip arrangement, is there anything else to it?  Curious minds wonder.

On a std exhaust the piggies are vertical, so the tip (a slanted cut) is vertical also.
On an IS the piggies are horizontal, so the tip (straight cut) is horizontal also. The tip is longer on an IS than a std. This means the ends of the muffler cans are different but you can't tell with the tips on.
Other than that, the exhausts are pretty much the same and are interchangeable.

Functionally, the Interstate exhaust is quieter.
