It's a rough season this year we still have high-line towers on the ground from the May 27 outbreak. We had so much damage that we don't have the steel in stock to replace ...They claim possible more coming this way wednesday into thursday this week  Sad

On radar http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php there's a thin severe line of storms from the Great lakes back into Texas

Rode down to Chicken Mary's down in Pittsburg KS today. Coming back the storms were building but luckily we were right on the north end of it. Just got a little wet.

Yeah they are saying it was a mile wide predicting...   My cousin has his rubber tire loader on a lowboy heading in to help...

Both hospitals  (st john's and freeman) are not taking any more patients unless life threatening....

Here are a few more pictures...

If you're EMS or Police personnel, Jasper county is in need, I just heard from my wife (a nurse) that they are putting out for help. She's getting ready to leave, we are about 2 hrs away ....

Here's a scanner link to keep an eye on the situation... I've been listening the last 10 minutes or so, and it sounds like worst case scenario.

Bad news guys Sad

How close do you live to there ? More tornado's still showing up on doppler....You in the path ? I built a severe weather shelter out behind my house after we worked damage in Jackson,Tennessee back in the late 90's.

yeah, that cell JUST passed about 10 miles south of my house. It looks like we are in the clear for now, but I'm gonna let my wife drive the truck and I'll be keeping an eye on the weather.

One of my favorite stops on The Ride For The Relay Rte66 Cancer Ride. The folks in Joplin treat us very well. Wish I was close enough to grab the turnout gear and help out.  THOUGHTS & PRAYERS from MI.

Wow! I just tried to call the guy I bought this bike from in Reed, Mo. (a couple of miles outside Joplin) in March. No answer. Hope its because he's out helping others and not in need of help himself. Guy lived in a mobile home and we all know how they attract tornadoes!

Valk_ca,

I know exactly where that picture was taken.  I have talked to some in joplin but the cell towers are down so you might not be able to get through.

I might be heading down to Joplin in the morning.

Good luck.

Everyone that is in a path of a tornado has my prayers of escaping damage. I was hit 3 weeks ago, it has changed our thoughts about storms now, I will have a good storm shelter after this. Thank the Lord above we were not injured, but our home will never be the same again. I have some rebuilding to do, but we lost 22 trees in our yard alone, some as old as 200 yrs.
