Last Sunday... after leaving Robbers Cave.. our plan was to ride to Joplin Mo and spend the night... and ride down Route 66 to be in Tucumcari next Friday..... We got up and watched the weather reports.. and decided to head north and west.... and start the 66 tour just east of Tulsa..... seems to have been a Good decision!!!!! Joplin was hit hard the night we would have been there. Last night we spent in El Reno Ok,,,, they were hit today by tornadoes.. and we have been riding Route 66.... and more storms came thru just hours after we head west from the different locations. When we got to Elk City.... the storms were starting to catch up with us... we jumped on the Interstate... and blasted west...35 MPH cross winds...... we could tell when we got out of the storming areas.... the temps went to 100* f .... but we are back in the Texas panhandle now... and the winds are blowing hard...... had to keep a hand on the handlebar... or a foot on the foot peg to keep the bike from blowing over when filling up with gas......
BUT..... we have escaped the tornadoes!!!!! Life is good!!!!

We spent Sunday night in Oklahoma City, had dinner with a friend of mine, then headed north/west to Dodge City, KS. Spending a second night here after taking part of the day to play tourist. So far, we haven't seen a drop of rain. Today's storms seem to have been splitting around Dodge City.
Tomorrow's plans are to head toward Colorado, then work our way south to Texas then Tucumcari.
The weather channel is NOT supposed to be an adventure channel!

Oklahoma weather is NOT always this bad, I swear! Ya'll stay safe and don't wait for next year's Dragons to the Cave before visiting us again.

Be safe out there girlfriend... Girlfriend? The posts have the look of Charlyne, but sometimes the voice sounds like Mark's.

O.K. Your confusing me Willow ??? (although sometimes it doesn't take much ). Wasn't there a Pink Flamingo hopping up and down & the author of this post identified as Flamingo Babe ? Ergo the "girlfriend" reference would apply Although I have seen some pictures of Mark that were questionable... Maybe we can get some more of them pics @ InZane

O.K. Your confusing me Willow ??? Lol! That was easier than it should be.
They're traveling with FB's notebook. I don't think HG bothers to log out and in when he uses it. It could be either one or both of them anytime she posts.
We should be able to get some good pix at IZ. HG isn't really very shy, is he?

I kinda' thought it was HG posting when the first message said had to keep a hand on the handlebar or a foot on the footpeg to keep it from blowing over while fueling. If the wind was bad enough to blow over the Spyder, it was not a good time to ride.
